Pink Perfection – the Belladonna Lily
This is Little Truff speaking.
Out walking with my family the other day, we were brought to a halt on the roadside by a flowering stretch of pink perfection – a mass of belladonna lilies. They were absolutely gorgeous.
Chrissie said the plant was the gardener’s dream. A native from South Africa, it’s easy to grow, the flowers give a great show of colour, and it’s semi frost-hardy.

We all agreed that these rosy-pink and lily-like autumn flowers lived up to their name.
‘Belladonna’ is Italian for ‘beautiful lady’.
