Little Truff and the Piha Library mural

July 30, 2016

What a THRILL!!!

It’s Little Truff speaking.

Chrissie, Barry, Gran and Pop – as well as David , Leila and I – viewed the Piha Library’s new mural in the make this morning. Talented local kids are painting it.

Shelley, the artist/designer of this wonderful project, and the committee, have chosen a selection of kid’s fave book characters to feature on the mural which is planned for the library entrance.

It’s going to be A-M-A-Z-I-N-G …

I saw the Cat-With-a-Hat, along with lions and taniwhas down by the pictured Lion Rock. And when I spied a chicken with a surfing board tucked under it’s wing, I gave a squeal of excitement and wriggled in Chrissie’s arms so I could see it a whole lot better.

There, near the chick on the long, long table with pots of paints, brushes and mural figures galore – was a picture of ME!!! I could have been looking in the mirror.

When this display is ready in a few month’s time, I’ll nudge David to put up photos of the finished art work so everyone can see it on my Blog and Facebook.

Waah-ho!!! This is so-o exciting …
