Ann Russell
Author and Inspirational Speaker

Ann Russell is the author of two genres:

Books for Animal Lovers

ALL animal lovers from 4 years to 108 will enjoy Ann’s modern family stories told with humour and adventure. Writing about animal issues was a natural choice for Ann as she was brought up to respect animals both at home and on holiday with relatives on Hawkes Bay farms.

A love of romance stories developed when she was a teen, sneak-reading her mother’s magazines. Add a background in Home Science, teaching English in secondary schools and the stimulus of her father’s cousin, Florence James, the co-author of the Australian classic novel, Come in Spinner, for Ann’s unique approach to story-telling.

Inspirational Speaker

Ann is an inspirational speaker who has addressed adult audiences of over 300 to smaller, more intimate groups at book clubs – as well as giving performances in schools and libraries.

Ann tailors the theme of her deliveries to the needs of the group involved and uses varied presentation techniques.
