Entertaining the kids
I had a lot of fun at the Glenfield Library these holidays. The children’s librarian, Andy, invited me to give a presentation using my stories.
The kids and their Mums enjoyed the twoillustrated stories I read. One was How the Blenheim Cavalier got its Lucky Spot and the otherLittle Truff and the Kereru.
You will know the kereru too. Its the giant New Zealand native pigeon which makes a whooshing sound as it flies through the air. Some people call it the wood pigeon.
The kids were great and joined in the activities we had at the end. They loved making paper finger puppets of Little Truff and the kereru, Afterwards they took them home to play with. See the photo below.
